Everyone has a cell phone. We use them to make calls, send texts, check email and browse the web. But the one problem with cell phones is that they aren’t original. Everyone has the same black phone that has become a standard in our society. But there has been a movement for a classier alternative. Pink.

Everywhere you look, someone has a pink cell phone. They represent a certain level of style and originality. It all started back in the days of “brick” phones; phones that were bulky, slow, and lacking on features. Cell phone companies began to make colorful covers for these phones, and soon realized that pink was a very popular color. Then came the Motorola Razr. This phone originally debuted in black, but soon came in more colors, no external case required. Pink quickly became one of the most popular colors, and due to the popularity of the Razr, pink phones spread into the mainstream.

Other phone manufacturers caught on, and now phones from just about every company can be purchased in pink, and if not then a pink cover can be bought. Today, the most popular phones are either touch screen or have a full keyboard. And even in this new market, pink phones and covers are growing in popularity. And with advances in the phone cover industry, almost any phone can be pink, meaning consumers no longer have to sacrifice functionality for originality!

Whether you want a flip phone, sliding phone or a touch screen phone, a variety of pink options can be found. The most popular modern phones are the Droid, the HTC Droid Eris, the iPhone and the Blackberry. These phones can be bought in a variety of colors, although not pink. But, the market for covers is always increasing, and any of these phones can become the phone you really want with a few simple steps. These phones all boast great speed, full online capabilities, texting, and a wide variety of downloadable applications.

These phones range from roughly $100 – $200, and covers usually run about $20. But, once you buy the phone and the cover, it will last you for years. A good investment now is better than a lame phone two years from now. The price is a small sacrifice for a great phone, and a great look.

So no matter what phone you’re looking for, don’t settle for boring. Ask for pink specifically. You’ll be glad you did!

Samsung’s recent launch of a new range of touchscreen phones coupled with a new push towards more mobile applications based on the android platform has industry insiders speculating on a new angle in the competitions with apple’s iphone. With each new array of the Samsung phone being introduced, from the high end multifunctional Acclaim with android 2.1 to the Samsung Sunburst, targeting the low end social networking junkie seems all set to take the touchscreen market by storm.

The qwerty models include the Samsung Exclaim which features a fully featured qwerty keyboard and integrated sprint GPS, and towards the lower end of the spectrum, the Samsung Saga which uses the windows mobile 6.1 and offers access to both GSM and CDMA networks which means that you can use this phone anywhere in the world. The most obvious focal point is the touchscreen genre is of course the availability of mobile apps, or rather in Samsungs case the lack of apps.

But the evolution of the android operating system looks sufficiently promising to allow the unhindered development of apps and a viable future for mobile gaming and productivity designers. The newest model in the Samsung touchscreen docket is the Samsung Vibrant. Featuring a super AMOLED touchscreen which allows for astonishing sensitivity and HD quality playback. Packing a 1 GHz hummingbird processor running on Android 2.1, this phones has no lack of applications available via synchronicity the Samsung app store. Boasting a 5.0 MP camera and memory expandable up to 32 GB, this phones does not disappoint a shutterbug. Kindle users have reason to celebrate as the phone is eminently capable of being used as an ebook reader. The address book feature is the most interesting bit of the phone with the attempt to integrate contacts and email in one app, while the feeds and updates and buddies now apps are a godsend for anyone who is a regular user on networking sites.

The biggest advantage though is in its power consumption with the new design offering 20% higher usage time between charges. QWERTY models have not exactly been Samsung’s strong point, with previous models barely competing with the blackberry and palm models, but Samsungs latest offering in the QWERTY group the Samsung Exclaim offers some food for thought with its integrated Sprint navigation service and a strong focus on its social networking applications. For a QWERTY phone it offers remarkable web surfing features and a rather handy camera.

While Samsung might yet redeem itself in the touchscreen market by its judicious adoption of Android for the phones ,the phones themselves target a remarkably small spectrum, with its attempt to please every section of the consumer market the company might be wasting valuable research and time on developing unnecessary features and ignoring potential winners.

In this day and age it is absolutely essential to have a cell phone. Gone are the days when people were unreachable for periods of time – now it seems like everyone needs to be available at any given moment in order to successfully function in society. The problem is that cell phones are small, compact and often quite expensive – and when you lose one your service provider often makes you pay exorbitant fees and/or makes you sign a new contract before getting connected once again. Thankfully there’s a loophole.

Many outlets sell used cell phones and mobile devices catered to your interest. There are a few things you should know when buying a used cell phone in order to get the most bang for your buck. Online vendors such as eBay are a popular place to find used models of cell phones. One very important thing to do is to ask questions. See if the phones are ‘unlocked,’ meaning they work with any service provider. Oftentimes phones are specific to a certain carrier, such as the Android with Verizon or the iPhone with AT&T.

Make sure you are buying a phone that will work with your service plan. Be sure to ask other standard questions too – like why the phone is being sold, if there are any damages, what features it might have, etc. Be aware that if you purchase a phone such as a BlackBerry or an iPhone you will likely have to add a data plan to your cell phone bill in the long run. It is also important to ask about a return policy. Your phone might work just fine right out of the gate, but falter a few days afterward and you’ll have wasted your money. See if you can return it for a refund or exchange it for a new model before committing to any purchase – and be sure to keep all receipts and copies of the transaction when dealing with online vendors.

Used cell phones can range anywhere from $10 to $150 depending on what you are buying. Phones that are more in demand, such as iPhones, Androids and the latest Blackberry models, will undoubtedly cost a bit more.

Be sure to go over a few of these helpful tips when making your decision about purchasing a used cell phone, and you should be on your way to getting the best possible product you could ask for. Don’t miss out on this great money-saving opportunity.

Quite recently 3G touch screen cell phones has picked up popularity in the markets as a result of which, the cell phone manufacturers have turned to produce more and more touchscreen phones with a wide variety of features pre installed. The competition these manufacturers face from each other are so intense that, each day you could expect a new 3G touchscreen phone in the market with loads of competing and breath taking features.

Some of the exciting touchscreen phones recently launched and those with great sales are Apple iPhone 3G, the Nokia XpressMusic 5800, BlackBerry Storm 9500, Samsung Omnia i900, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 etc avaialable at an approximate price ranging from $650 to $850. The iPhone 3G touchscreen mobile priced at around approximately $750 is the most widely or commonly used touchscreen 3G phone. The intuitive features the iPhone 3G houses such as the 3G wireless enviroment, GPS tracking etc is something which makes the phone a hot deal. Combined with the features of an Ipod, a touch screen phone and an internet device, the iPhone 3G is a remarkable device that is worth a buy.

However there are quite a few areas which one has to take good note of while planning to purchase a 3G touchscreen phone:-

1) The display size:- Display size is a major thing that you got to look out for when purchasing a touchscreen phone since each and every function is carried out by the tap of a finger. So bigger the display more comfortable you would be in using the features.
2) Sensitivity of screen:- This is an area that should be given utmost importance, since every feature on a touch screen phone is accessed by the tap of the finger on the screen, it is quite inevitable to note how it responds to your gentle tapping.
3) Battery life:- Phones with bigger screens are more prone to lesser battery life. Touch screen phones are never an exception in this case since, they are the ones that drains the battery life quite rapidly. So before purchasing a touchscreen phone, make sure that one with the best battery life possible in the bigger screen category is bought.
4) The user interface:- The user interface is some kind of a concern when it comes to touch screen phones. There are quite a few touch screen models having smaller on screen icons which could be kind of a strain if fingers are used. In those cases, the stylus has to be made use of. But for those who aren’t comfortable using the stylus, phones with big screens and large icons on it are advisable. Neverthless using the stylus or either the fingers has got its pros and cons.
5) Internet browsing capabilities:- Since these days, a vast majority of the people prefers hand held devices to browse through the internet or do their day to day activities on internet, going through the internet capabilities of the phone such as the Wi-Fi or edge support would be a good idea. Wider the range of internet specifications on the phone, much productive it would be in the long term.

So it has finally happened, the Apple iPad three G is available for customers. Ever since Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the iPad, back in January of this year, potential customers have been highly anticipating its arrival similar to couples waiting for their new born baby. Last month it became available for customers, world wide. Although on the whole it has been a big success if one were to go by sales figures, the reaction to the product from a technical stand point has been mixed. Yes, it’s true that it is in a way a large iPhone. After all, it has the same operating system and touch screen display. But it is much more than that. To look at it as simply a bigger and more sophisticated iPhone would be a mistake.

First off, lets talk about the looks. One of the first things that anyone will notice is that the iPad looks very good, as does all Apple’s products. The high resolution 9.7 inch backlit LED display looks great. The screen makes activities such as web browsing and movie watching a real pleasure. The iPad has a multi touch screen that has been designed to be very precise and responsive. The iPad only weighs 1.5 pounds and is only half an inch thick. Another very popular feature is the battery life, which is much longer than the average laptop. You will now get 10 hours of battery life compared to 3 or 4 hours. It will even be able to stay on stand by mode for a full month and still have enough charge to do a couple of hours of work.

So far we have talked about the external goodies of this machine. Now lets look at what’s inside, after all that’s what really counts. The iPad three G has a built in 802.11n which means it can take advantage of Wi-Fi networks. In fact it will automatically locate any Wi-Fi networks which you will be able to hook on to with just a few key strokes. It also comes with Bluetooth 2.1+EDR which allows it to connect to wireless devices. The iPad has a very powerful A4 chip designed by apple engineers that is also very efficient. This is the secret behind why the iPad performs better than any touch screen device you have seen.

When it was first released, the iPad was not three G capable. But now they have released it with three G capability and you will be able to take advantage of super fast speeds for data transfer, up to 7.2 Mbps to be precise. This is what makes it very versatile piece equipment, because even if there is no Wi-Fi available you will be able to take advantage of the three G capability for all your download needs. On the down side the biggest complaint about the iPad is that it is costly to purchase. It also requires a bevy of add on features like lots of apps, bags, cases, iPad screen protectors, and whatever else you choose to buy in iTunes in order to take full advantage of it.

The iPhone 3G is Apple’s most recent innovation in the three g phones class. At first glance, it may look like a exact replica of the original iPhone. It’s without question that the differences between the phones are physically hard to see, but there are a few subtle external differences and more than a few significant internal differences customers should take notice of.

The iPhone 3G is available in two colors, black and white. The black version comes in two distinct sizes, 8 GB and 16 GB. The white version is only available in the 16 GB capacity. It isn’t made out of aluminum, like its predecessors, but rather made up of a glossy plastic. Personally I don’t like this change, but I understand why it was necessary considering the wireless capability it has within it.

Not a lot has changed with the 3.5 inch touchscreen, but this is a sign of the beauty in its original design. The touchscreen is as responsive, if not more so, as it was in previous models. Plus the touchscreen is as bright and beautiful as ever. Apple decided to not include a dock with th is model. This is horrible when you take into consideration the old dock, from previous models, is not compatible with the 3G. On the other hand, the virtual keyboard remains completely unchanged.

As an improvement, the iPhone 3G doesn’t have a recessed headphone jack. This feature was removed because of feedback received from users, since the original release. Another great improvement regarding audio capabilities is the fact that the speakers are now a few decibels louder then they were in previous models.

Underneath the plastic exterior, it’s really impressive. The iPhone 3G zips through data transfers and Web browsing, and has been observed downloading at speeds in excess of 800 KB per second. Being a AGPS device, This model really excels in it’s performance during positioning acquisition. In that area, this phone shows it’s superiority over other 3G phones.

The iPhone does have a some flaws though. It still does not have a user replaceable battery and still lacks a slot for users to expand its memory. But these flaws pale in comparison to the overall benefits you get for owning one.

Apple still appeared to be the leader in the market in regards to the smartphones, but the competition is starting to catch up. If you want the greatest 3G phone currently on the market, the iPhone 3G would be for you.

The world of mobile and communications has been evolving very fast, technologies are replaced very quickly and things become outdated earlier than stipulated. At present, the revolution of three G phones has been gaining steam and people are very curious to know what actually 3G phones are?

3G refers to the third generation of the mobile telephony and communication. Until now, the world has been using the 2.5G phones. However, now the mobile operators as well as the manufacturers have upgraded themselves to the 3G technology.

If you’ve been in the market for Three G Phones, have a look at The BlackBerry Bold. It appears to be a great smartphone with few drawbacks.

The Bold looks sleek with its black color and chrome trim. The back is textured to feel like leather, and the 3.5 inch display has a more crisp and vibrant display than most other phones in its class, including the iPhone 3G. The Bold is sturdy, but it’s bigger than previous BlackBerry versions and is definitely larger than the iPhone 3G. BlackBerry loyalists will be happy to note that the Bold’s design stays true to previous models, but still has manages to look modern.

Among the Bold’s features, there is a 2.0 megapixel camera with digital zoom and built-in flash, a QWERTY keyboard, and tethered modem capability. The camera is nothing special, as the old BlackBerry 8800 model had a camera with the same amount of megapixels. For whatever reason, RIM decided not to improve the camera quality. The QWERTY keyboard is one of the phone’s stellar features. Email and texting are a delight with the easy to use keyboard. The keys are backlit, and even people with large fingers should be able to type almost effortlessly.

As far as battery life goes, the Bold can last up to 13.5 days in standby and 4.5 hours of talk time. I believe these estimates to be on par with most smartphones in the same class. In fact, these times are either better than or equal to the battery life of a 3G iPhone.

Included accessories with the phone are a USB cable and wall charger. The Bold has 1GB of on-board memory, and if that’s not enough, microSD memory cards are supported. A maximum of 8GB can be added with a high-capacity microSD card.

Connection-wise, the Bold supports Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS. Another area where the phone shines is its native multimedia support. The media player has a clean interface, and the phone natively supports DivX, XviD, H.264, and WMV3 video formats. Audio format support is common with 3GP, MP3, WMA9, MIDI, and AAC.

If you’ve never owned a BlackBerry, you definitely can’t go wrong with the Bold. If you already own a BlackBerry, the Bold is the perfect upgrade choice. The phone’s screen and keyboard really provide a pleasant user experience, and the multimedia support is top notch. The only major flaw in the phone is the low quality camera, but the rest of the phone’s features certainly make up for it.
