Quite recently 3G touch screen cell phones has picked up popularity in the markets as a result of which, the cell phone manufacturers have turned to produce more and more touchscreen phones with a wide variety of features pre installed. The competition these manufacturers face from each other are so intense that, each day you could expect a new 3G touchscreen phone in the market with loads of competing and breath taking features.
Some of the exciting touchscreen phones recently launched and those with great sales are Apple iPhone 3G, the Nokia XpressMusic 5800, BlackBerry Storm 9500, Samsung Omnia i900, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 etc avaialable at an approximate price ranging from $650 to $850. The iPhone 3G touchscreen mobile priced at around approximately $750 is the most widely or commonly used touchscreen 3G phone. The intuitive features the iPhone 3G houses such as the 3G wireless enviroment, GPS tracking etc is something which makes the phone a hot deal. Combined with the features of an Ipod, a touch screen phone and an internet device, the iPhone 3G is a remarkable device that is worth a buy.
However there are quite a few areas which one has to take good note of while planning to purchase a 3G touchscreen phone:-
1) The display size:- Display size is a major thing that you got to look out for when purchasing a touchscreen phone since each and every function is carried out by the tap of a finger. So bigger the display more comfortable you would be in using the features.
2) Sensitivity of screen:- This is an area that should be given utmost importance, since every feature on a touch screen phone is accessed by the tap of the finger on the screen, it is quite inevitable to note how it responds to your gentle tapping.
3) Battery life:- Phones with bigger screens are more prone to lesser battery life. Touch screen phones are never an exception in this case since, they are the ones that drains the battery life quite rapidly. So before purchasing a touchscreen phone, make sure that one with the best battery life possible in the bigger screen category is bought.
4) The user interface:- The user interface is some kind of a concern when it comes to touch screen phones. There are quite a few touch screen models having smaller on screen icons which could be kind of a strain if fingers are used. In those cases, the stylus has to be made use of. But for those who aren’t comfortable using the stylus, phones with big screens and large icons on it are advisable. Neverthless using the stylus or either the fingers has got its pros and cons.
5) Internet browsing capabilities:- Since these days, a vast majority of the people prefers hand held devices to browse through the internet or do their day to day activities on internet, going through the internet capabilities of the phone such as the Wi-Fi or edge support would be a good idea. Wider the range of internet specifications on the phone, much productive it would be in the long term.

It’s been a year since I’ve started using the Sony Ericsson (SE) M600i. I like this phone because really helps me with more than just making and receiving phone calls, but also browsing the internet, checking email, going on Facebook, chatting, and more. This is one of the most high-speed Three G phones, with a good price.
SE M600i comes with 60MB of internal memory and includes a 64MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) card with the phone. But I suggest to getting a 1GB card for bigger space if you want to save multimedia files on it.
Running Symbian OS 9.1 and UIQ 3.0, SE M600i boasts UMTS support and the usual business applications, such as QuickOffice to write, edit, and read Microsoft Word and Excel documents, and a PDF viewer. With this features, for me, SE M600i mixed my business with pleasure meanwhile I use it for listening music, video streaming, and games. And by using SE PC Suite application help me sync my e-mail, contacts, calendar, and tasks from SE M600i to computer. SE M600i organized my business in my hand easily.
And not just for phone call and business applications, sometimes I use SE M600i as modem by wired or wireless connection. Through Bluetooth I connected SE M600i to my computer and sharing files to other cell phone.
Its slim design looks elegant with comfortable qwerty keyboard and large touch-screen display. I think SE M600i is one of best pocketable smartphones. Using 3-way scroll wheel we can move up, down and select easily, going back by pressing back button on left side, using its @ button to open browser (but this can be changed to other actions in the settings), and the good one is we can use pen stylus to write faster than using its dual function keyboard.
Despite all its many features, the lack of Wi-Fi support and a camera sorely disappointing and sometimes it crashed once in a while, most while browsing.
